The Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications from qualified sessional instructors to teach the following course in Summerside in the Summer Semester 2013. The dates are April to June, 2013. This position is subject to budgetary approval.
Required qualifications are an MA or PhD in Sociology or Anthropology or equivalent, teaching experience, especially with large classes of students, and a background in anthropological/ sociological theories of social structure, or equivalent, in the area of conflict resolution.
Soc - Anth 359L CONFLICT RESOLUTION
This course introduces students to ways they can identify and resolve conflict. Students examine principles, concepts and techniques of the interest based approach to conflict resolution, and its application in various social and cultural environments and areas, including the family, the workplace environment, public-professional intersections, multi-culturalism, international development, education and social work.
