The School of Business at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opportunity for sessional lecturers to teach courses in the summer semester (2013), subject to final budgetary approval:
Acct. 201 - Introductory Accounting - Part I - (Summerside) - This course is concerned with a study of basic accounting concepts and principles.
Acct. 302 - Intermediate Accounting - Part II - (Summerside) - This course covers specialized topics such as long-term debt, investments, equity method, statement of changes in financial position, pensions, leases, income taxes, earnings per share, and accounting changes and error corrections.
Bus. 211 - Business Communications (Summerside) - This course focuses on developing students' writing and presentation skills in a business environment.
Bus. 287 - Intro to International Business (UPEI) - This course examines the basic issues involved in the internationalization of business.
Bus. 373 - Tourism Management (UPEI) - This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the management of the world's largest industry - tourism.
Bus. 482 (Ethics) (UPEI) - the course examines ethical reasoning than can lead to better decision-making in the moment of critical choice.
Successful applicants will have a minimum of a master=s level degree or equivalent with a combination of qualifications and experience. Also note, priority will be given to individuals who qualify and who are on the sessional roster.
